Job Description

About the Role:

Grade 3 Sonographer

You will work closely with the Sonographer Tutor, developing skills and expertise in musculoskeletal system and vascular structures imaging.

Competency in abdomen, obstetrics, gynaecological and small parts is expected. 

 

Grade 4 Sonographer

You will independently perform ultrasound examinations across all areas of practice, delivering consistent examinations to a high standard.

 

Grade 5 Sonographer

As a Grade 5 Sonographer, you will combine advanced clinical expertise with responsibilities in education, research, administration and/or management.

 

Grade 4 and Grade 5 sonographers are expected to participate in all shifts on a rotating roster, which will include weekends and on call shifts. 

 

Requirements:

  • Current MRPBA registration, Victorian Radiation Use Licence and driver's licence
  • Completion of an accredited ultrasound qualification
  • Current registration with Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry to practice as a Sonographer.
  • This position is open to Grade 3, 4 and 5 Professionals - Grade 4 and 5: Flexibility to work across all shifts including on call and weekends

Desirable:

  • Experience in supervising students, trainees, graduates and junior employees
  • Demonstrated experience in protocol, development, optimisation and dissemination.
  • 3-7 years post graduate experience.
