Director of Nursing / Facility Manager

Regional Queensland

Salary: $157,018 to $168,211 per annum, plus superannuation and annual leave loading

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing / Facility Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership within a rural healthcare facility.

This senior leadership position offers the opportunity to make a direct and meaningful impact on healthcare delivery within a close-knit community. You will lead a multidisciplinary workforce, support clinical excellence and help ensure the facility continues to deliver safe, sustainable and responsive healthcare services.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing strategic and operational leadership across the healthcare facility
  • Leading and supporting multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality and person-centred care
  • Overseeing clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Managing workforce capability, performance and professional development
  • Promoting a positive workplace culture built on collaboration, accountability and respect
  • Supporting effective operational planning and the sustainable delivery of healthcare services
  • Building strong relationships with staff, stakeholders, community representatives and partner organisations
  • Leading service improvement and organisational change initiatives
  • Ensuring clinical and operational practices meet relevant professional, legislative and organisational standards
  • Representing the facility and advocating for the healthcare needs of the local community

 

About You

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within a senior nursing, facility management or health service management position
  • Strong knowledge of clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety
  • Proven operational, workforce and resource management capabilities
  • The ability to lead, inspire and develop multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
  • Strong change management, decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • A collaborative and accountable leadership style
  • A genuine commitment to rural and remote healthcare
  • A passion for improving healthcare access and outcomes within local communities
